Types of Jib Cranes

1. Pillar Mounted Jib Crane

A vertical pillar supports the jib boom and provides a dedicated lifting station. Suitable for workshops, machine shops and production areas.

2. Wall Mounted Jib Crane

Mounted directly on a suitable building column or wall structure. It is an excellent space-saving solution where floor-mounted columns are not preferred.

3. Floor Mounted Jib Crane

Installed on a specially designed foundation or floor-mounted pillar. Suitable for independent lifting stations.

4. Motorized Jib Crane

Motorized slewing and/or trolley movement can be provided for applications requiring frequent and controlled operation.

5. Portable / Mobile Jib Crane

Designed for applications where lifting equipment needs to be moved between different work areas, subject to suitable design and load conditions.

Main Components

Jib Boom

Heavy-duty fabricated boom designed to safely support the hoist, trolley and suspended load.

Pillar / Column

The pillar is designed according to the lifting capacity, boom length, foundation and overturning moment.

Hoist

Electric wire rope hoist or electric chain hoist can be selected according to the required capacity and lifting height.

Trolley

Manual, geared or motorized trolley arrangements are available for horizontal movement along the boom.

Slewing Mechanism

The jib can be manually or electrically rotated according to the required working area.

Foundation

For floor-mounted jib cranes, the foundation and anchoring arrangement are designed according to the crane loads and site conditions.
